Congrats to Cali Crushers for going out and CRUSHIN’ it this weekend! In their first-ever 14U tournament, the 12U Crushers rose to the occasion and walked away with 1st place in the Silver Bracket! Two hard-fought wins, one walk-off finish, and a whole lot of heart made Championship Sunday unforgettable. Keep up the hard work, Crushers!
Game 1: Rally Mode Activated – 6–4 Victory
The Crushers started the day trailing early but quickly turned things around with a third-inning rally powered by clutch hits from Isa, Sky, and Jennifer to tie the game. In the fifth inning, Zoey smashed a double to center, and Lani followed with a rocket down the line to drive in the go-ahead runs.
Zoey went a perfect, with Lani matching her hit total, while Skylar added two key RBIs. Kirsten pitched five strong innings, striking out six and keeping her cool to shut things down in the later frames.
Game 2: Walk-Off Champions – 6–5 Final
The championship matchup brought the drama. After a back-and-forth battle, the Crushers entered the bottom of the fourth with the score tied and two outs on the board. That’s when Kirsten delivered a clutch single, extending the inning and keeping the dream alive. Then, in true championship fashion, Isa crushed a walk-off double to drive in the winning run and seal the title.
The Crushers showed off their speed and awareness with eight stolen bases, played flawless defense with zero errors, and had RBIs from Emily, Zoey, Sky, and Isa. Isa also led the team in defensive plays, racking up seven in the field.
From resilience to walk-off heroics, the Crushers proved they belong on any stage—even against older competition. 💪
